Volunteer Art Docent Program 2022-2023 🎨
After a two-year hiatus from the program, I am so excited to bring it back to Earhart. This is such a fun program, and a wonderful way to introduce the wonderful world of art to our children. Â
What is Art Docent?Â
The Art Docent program is an opportunity to introduce the students to the subjects of art history, art techniques, artistic styles, and how art has played an important role in the lives of people throughout history and around the world.Â
Getting StartedÂ
- Sign up to volunteer on Membership Toolkit – earhartpta.membershiptoolkit.com. All communication will be done through the Membership Toolkit email list. If you are not signed up, you will not receive any Art Docent updates.Â
- Complete your volunteer paperwork with the school office, as outlined in this ParentSquare post.
How does it work?
The Earhart School Art Docent Program is funded by Earhart PTA and is run by parent volunteers. Volunteer art docents coordinate with teachers to schedule monthly in-class lessons. All materials, including curriculum and art supplies, are provided for volunteers. On a date TBA, we will meet briefly to discuss how to reserve your dates and materials and what a lesson entails.
Thank you for your interest in Art Docent!
