The PTA sponsors and organizes these programs and events, and much more.
Science
Earhart is proud to provide hands-on science lab instruction for all students. In the 24/25 school year, PTA will begin to assume responsibility for funding this program. By the 25/26 school year, our unique science program will be fully funded by PTA and reliant upon donations.
Art Docent
The Art Docent program brings parent volunteers to classrooms to teach monthly art lessons. Volunteer training, a complete art curriculum, and a huge selection of art supplies are provided. The Art Docents also help organize the annual Spring Art Show.
Teacher Stipends
A generous stipend is provided to all teachers and teaching specialists in order for them to have comprehensive classroom supplies for all students and access to learning platforms that best suit their students’ learning needs.
Field Studies
The PTA provides field trips and on-site programs that enhance the classroom curriculum. Students have visited the Oakland Zoo, San Franciso Opera Guild, Coyote Hills, the Marine Science Institute, and more!
Garden Club
The Garden Club is a STEM-oriented group with the objective to provide hands-on experience for children to learn how to grow the food we eat and to inspire the next generation of healthy, environmentally-conscious gardeners.
Movie Nights & More
Each month, the Evening Programs committee hosts a family friendly gathering at school. This may be a movie night, bingo, or game night. No matter what the event is, it’s always a fun night out with the Earhart Community.
Community Coffee
On the first Friday of each month, PTA hosts Community Coffee for Earhart parents & guardians. Stop by and visit our table for a hot beverage, some light bites, and friendly conversation.
Back to School Playdates
Reconnect with old friends and make new ones before school starts! The Earhart Welcome Wagon organizes and hosts back to school meetups prior to the first day of school in order to help jump start community connections.
Fingerprint Drives
LiveScan fingerprinting is required by California Law in order to volunteer on campus. To help make it easier for parents, PTA hosts on-campus fingerprint drives to encourage a robust volunteer pool.
