Drop Off and Pick Up 2021-2022

UPDATE from Principal Leung 8/15/2021:

Hello Earhart Families!

We understand that the drop-off and pick-up traffic can be a little exhausting at times. We want every part of your experience to be a great one so we will be expanding on the procedures from last year’s modified plan when students were returning to school.

Drop Off Procedures (Video)

No unsupervised students are allowed on campus prior to 8:10 a.m. Supervision does not start until 8:10 a.m. Please do not send students unattended for their safety.

The parking lot will be closed until further notice. There are many reasons for this with two primary reasons: safety of students as they exit the cars and reduction of cross-traffic on Packet Landing and those cars exiting the semi-circle at Earhart.

Parking can be found on Packet Landing and the surrounding Neighborhood. In saying that please use alternative means of transportation i.e. walking, biking, etc. Not only is this great for our students’ health as a byproduct it also reduces the traffic. Please note, the Harbor Bay Club parking lot is off-limits as well.

Use white zones as intended. Please stay in your cars, move up as far as you can in the white zone. Please be respectful of each other as all students are watching and learning at all times.

Non-AUSD personnel are not allowed into the buildings besides the office. All county and local guidelines need to be followed. Mask on while inside all buildings. Please come to the main office where we can help serve the students by providing a safe and secure environment.

All students will meet in front of the school.

  • Teachers will have signs for identification on the first day of school
  • Cones will be placed for reference moving forward
  • NO Traffic will be allowed in the area
  • Teachers will clarify with their class with procedures moving forward

No morning assemblies with students and parents. Out of an abundance of caution, we will not be gathering in large groups. We are trying to limit the amount of potential transmission in order for everyone to be safe, healthy, and at school.

Pick Up Procedures

The parking lot will be closed until further notice. There are many reasons for this with two primary reasons: safety of students as they exit the cars and reduction of cross-traffic on Packet Landing and those cars exiting the semi-circle at Earhart.

Off-site aftercare are not allowed onto campus. They will pick up their students in front of the school. Please let your student(s)’ teacher know if your student(s) is(are) participating with offsite aftercare. AIK students will need to walk over to portables 56 and 57 except K.

Teachers will be walking students to the gate for release.

Setup meeting points with your student(s). This is a great way to create independence for students and to reduce the number of group gatherings while maintaining safe distancing.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. This is still a new experience for us all and we will adjust accordingly. This is our best attempt for the information we have at this time and we are trying to serve all our student’s and families’ needs.
