Each year between Thanksgiving and the December break, the PTA hosts a book fair. It’s a great way to polish off some holiday shopping and proceeds help purchase books for the classrooms and help raise money for the PTA. The annual Spell-a-thon is held in the winter before Spring break. Each family is encouraged to collect pledges from family and friends and each child participant is entered in a drawing. Many businesses in our community donate prizes. It is a great fundraiser for our PTA and with skits, puzzles, and contests, it is much more fun than selling gift wrap and cookie dough!
This drive is our largest fundraising push. At the beginning of each school year we ask families to join PTA ($15 membership dues) and donate to our back to school fundraising drive as they are able. Thanks to our generous families, we are typically able to raise nearly 60% of our annual operating budget from this one drive.
