Superintendent Scuderi sent out the following message on Wednesday of this week: “As a friendly reminder: all elementary students who plan to attend our in-person sessions beginning on March 15 will need a COVID-19 test prior to returning to campus. As of yesterday [3/2/21], the county case rate is 6.3 cases per 100,000 residents. According to guidance from the California Department of Public Health, this rate requires us to test our students every two weeks. As many of you know, Alameda Firefighters collect donated toys each year to give to families in need. Usually bins are placed at each school site and around town to collect toys. This year, however, things are a bit different due to Covid. Firefighters are asking for money donations so they can purchase gift cards for families in need.
